It's a real shame about those dead people, but gosh, it's so pretty..

This is one of Yahoo's current most emailed photos.

The "fairy tale" castle Neuschwanstein is seen in the snow covered landscape in Schwangau, Bavaria
Just beautiful, but wait, there's more.
Heavy snow and high winds lashed Europe over the weekend, causing the deaths of at least 17 people in weather-related accidents and avalanches in Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland.
Aaarrggghhhh! That's horrible. You just ruined the romance of snow for me. I'll never be able to look at a German castle in winter time the same again. Thanks a lot Yahoo.

Wow. A lot of sweeping up and down staircases at that place, I would imagine.

I thought I'd leave you with this.

The trick is to gain proper perspective. Yes, it is sad to hear of all those deaths due to the storms. Rumour has it though, all of the victims were engrossed in viewing fairy-tale castles, and mountain-strewn, winter landscapes. The moral is, view these scenes in the proper manner, via pictures in books, the cinema, television, or online. Then no one gets killed and we don't have the inconvenience of bad feelings when we're enjoying the same. It's commonsense really.

Now I'm off to Indonesia and Sri Lanka to lecture on the virtues of hill-living.
