Before I comment on the video as a whole, let's get this straight: there is only one true mustard in the known universe! A veritable Super Power, amongst what are essentially simple forms of relish suitable only for the weak and the effete. And do I hear you ask, "What is this this regal and omnipotent culinary must (no partial pun intended)? It is... wait for it.. drum roll... fanfare... followed by a tada... English mustard!!!

This yellow, inoffensive looking substance, which at its best come in jars emblazoned with the legend, "Colmans Mustard" (although it may still be possible to purchase in powder form) is not to be trifled with. Belive me, it's hot. Indeed, it's fiery. Or for those of you partial to a little drama - 'jasus fucking kerrrrrist it's fucking burning hot!". This latter vocal reaction (always occurring when the yellow substance has been applied too liberally) is accompanied by total blindness due to a sudden and violent surge of tears into the eyes (trust me on this, I've been there many times). So... well, now you know.

The video. Well, you have excellent presentation skills. You appear confident and fluent (never punctuating your speech with uhms, errs, and 'like') but I would expect this from an actress :-). What surprises me is your accent. I always thought you had a plummy English accent, but it seems you have that inter-global sound, English but with a trace of American (just the slightest 'burr'). I wont hold the latter against you!

Erik is the perfect foil for you. He's understated, less forceful, with a relaxed "this is okay but I can think of better things to do" kind of attitude.

Erik is cool, but you're the star!

ok.. well.. I guess you didn't have too much to learn from this video.. yes, I think Erik is under the impression that you can only get Colmans in the powder.. I mean, it's not a big effort.. it's just one more step before the sandwich gets made.. but ya know..

of course.. maybe you learnt how you're supposed to drink fernet.. that should come in handy :)

Apologies, I didn't think it was a serious educational video :-)

I really liked it, and one things for sure, you've both got balls, bigger balls than mine too. I've got two camcorders, and some nifty audio equipment complete with a professional mike, but it's all still boxed. I guess I'll never create the podcasts I intended to. I'll forever hide behind my words.

Bravo!

well.. it took us a damn long time to get anything out there, largely because of technical issues, really stupid ones but nevertheless.. so, finally doing it, and now we seem to be in the habit of it so we'll keep it up.. got lots of ideas.. and if I ever get better equipment, more people, much better at all this stuff I might just be able to implement some of them :/

Michelle, it was REALLY GOOD. In terms of technical quality I knew what to expect. Reading between the lines, I know you guys can't freely fork out for better equipment.

I hope you don't think I'm patronising you.

Oh no.. I'm just explaining a bit of history behind all of this.. I mean, I have plenty of ideas.. now that I've been going out and filming I thin I'm better at coming up with stuff that is plausible to be actually done.. have had some film ideas for about 4 years now that will have to wait some time before we're actually able to make them, but, coming up with plenty of more simple, doable stuff.. and well, those might be coming to a computer screen near you in the not so distant future :)
