I don't have anything to write about, not anything that isn't dreary, gloomy, whiny, bleak, miserable, ranting, raving and quite unpleasant. So here's a cat in pants.

sometimes I feel like I'm drowning

not literally of course, and metaphorically either, to be honest. I mean, I'm not saying I never feel overwhelmed by stuff, bogged down, like I'm losing everything, worried, and anxious, and doomed. I do quite often, very often, and it's entirely unremarkable that I'm experiencing those feelings at the moment. Hmm, I guess that's what the metaphor means, cliched though it is.
Mostly it's an excuse to post the photo.

It's just too much work!
It's April the 1st. This is a day of foolishness, frivolity, fakeness and falsity. It's the day when you just can't trust anything anyone says. When we all try to one up each other on how clever and elaborate our pranks can get.
Well bugger it. Can't do it. In years past I've had the need, due to my mildly OCD need to dorkily follow time sensitive themes, I always felt I had to do at least something, on this most silly of days, to partake in the revelry. I've done some elaborate ones, mostly not but I always and by always I mean sometimes, acknowedge it. This year it's too much. Can't think of anything, can't be bothered, it's not just the blog, there's flickr, and Facebook and now I'm doing this video project and it's all too much. I mean I did this photo..

of me being silly, and a video that kind of goes with it, and mentioned something on Facebook that no one paid attention to but that's it! This day means nothing to me.

why hello
it's another month yet again, the last o' the year I thought I'd sign in. Being a lady of leisure these days, ie between jobs ie unemployed I have plenty of time to write so I've no excuse, except I couldn't be bothered, so here's a picture instead. I consider it sorta seasonal.

Summer appears to have arrived.
It's June, so it should be. I know there's an official beginning of some sort but to me it's June it's summer dammit. Well, in this case it seems to work. Nothing else to say except this is what today, June 7 looks like.

Well not today June 7 but June 7 years past. 3 years ago to be precise.
And it's a good night from me.

When there's nothing to say..

One can enjoy the prettiness. Happy Spring world.
Well the Northern (if you look at the world the traditional way) part of it anyway.
At least those parts of that hemisphere that gets actual weather, and seasons that are not described primarily as "dry" or "wet".
Well the regions within those parts of the Northern Hemisphere that isn't too cold all year to really get much of a spring, or is having another long winter in the fashion of last yesr that they can't seem to break, and possibly haven't yet.
Think I've covered it.

a bit o' action here
Yesterday my city was in the news. The proper news that is, the one that goes all around the world. There was an explosion, heard all throughout the center.. well, nothing (at this point there has been no foul play discovered) sinister.. just an unfortunate, er, mishap. Gas explosion.. o course, those have been happening with some regularity recently so.. who knows. *looks around suspiciously*
No one has been reported dead, thank goodness, though up to 40 people are injured. It could have been much worse and for that I suppose we should be thankful. My personal involvement was knowing 2 people who were in the center who heard the explosion.. a whole lot of early contradicting reports and walking by here..
Not a lot to see.. just a closed street, police and a bunch of gawkers.
*shakes head at gawkers* I mean.. what's the world coming to?
