Changing. And Waiting

There's always a point, when an unwelcome, inevitable change is on the horizon where you (and by "you" I mean me, and most likely, due to the law of averages, many other people out there on earth) just want to get on with it and have it done. I personally like to wish it to be some point in the future that allows enough time to have gone by for this whole messy transition bit to be over, plus allowances for adjustment. And then you get there, to that point, and this is it, the very unwelcome change that is going to happen, whether you like it or not, past which you need to get, the sooner the better, to get on with the next stage and.. it's just, the end. And end of something you don't want to say goodbye to. All that relief,, that tiny bit of curiosity, maybe even excitement for a new future.. all gone. Well mostly gone. It's particularly fun when you're kind of near the end of some of the several stages to this whole thing and you get to enjoy the grief at losing what you hold dear along with the frustration of everything taking so fucking long still. Yeah, it's all a big load of fucking fun.

I don't like change. I don't even like having a workman in the house to refit the bathroom. It's intrusive and disrupts my routine. And of course, it's oh so inevitably dusty, made worse by aforementioned stupid workman leaving the adjacent bedroom door open (my computer room) allowing the dust to settle on every single item stored there, not to mention my computer, router, and printer! And of course, change gets even more traumatic when the geezer, who is a fine plumber, and equally good electrician, shows himself to be more than wanting when it comes to tiling walls, tiling floors, and painting. His finishing skills are non-existent. But I wont bore you further, except to say, he's been called back for at least the third time to try and right his wrongs, but I'm not holding my breath till it's done! So change? In my book we should never invite it, only fixing that which is broken. But of course, you're not talking of this type of change! I'm guessing you're speaking about what might be considered, natural, or organic change, as happens in relationships. Or maybe I have it completely wrong, and you're just bemoaning the "loss" of your current accommodation. But I think not. Oh well... how did your evening go?

Oh, don't get me started on worker dudes, as I refer to these "workmen" you speak of. So many times, in this place and others have I had to deal with such intrusions, often taking way too long, banging about, all up in my space which I like to keep very very private... and yes, leaving dust and shit all over the place.. oh the stories I could tell, and have, about worker dudes. At least that's one thing I won't have to deal with again with regard to this place, of course, every flat needs fixits every so often so, yanno, not such a big plus point..

You're pretty correct in your decipering of my vague mutterings for the past few weeks, that's pretty much what it is about, although losing this place is a big part of it, or rather, an extra helping of utter shit. I like this place, I like my little furry baby that lives in this place, it's a really nice place, it's my home, and I kind of feel like I'm being thrown out of my own life, in a way, which, as you can imagine, sucks. And moving is not too much fun, ever.

and last night was really cool, kind of random, someone I know invited me to see his new band and some other bands in this place that turned out not to be a bar really but some kind of squat or sqat-esque space right at the foot of Prague Castle, which I found amusing. I'd never seen or even really heard of any of these bands and they were all good, some really cool, and I saw people I knew who deemed me worthy enough to say a few words to, so, by my stands, pretty good.
