a bit of moaning for a change

I feel the need for a little glamour in my life. Or at least hot water.. oh to have lovely flowing golden hair... to feel worthy of puttin on something nice, that looks nice and is.. nice, even on these gloomy so called Spring days.

The hot water situation continues. In case you don't know what I'm talking about on account of a) not having read where I wrote that, or b) because I didn't write that, well we got no hot water here. And no heat and no working stove which actually does matter just as much as the hot water being off but not what I'm focusing on now. It's been weeks. It's vexing. I'm simultaneously used to it and utterly sick of it.

I have washed in that time, either kettle baths or at the pools but it's not the same. I'm a 21st century Westerner living in as civilized part of the world as any, I guess, I shouldn't be having these problems. I should be whining about a computer that keeps jamming or about the weather, which I am, but I shouldn't have to be dealing with this too! No fair.

There's a kitchen refurbishment going on here, and that has its share of inconveniences though not as severe as several weeks lacking hot water and heating (although I did have to suffer 5 hours of no electricity which disabled Internet and television, as well as heating and hot water). Anyway, it really rams home just how much we take for granted and how set we are in our daily routines. The biggest inconvenience is a week without a kitchen sink, leaving us with no alternative but to use the meagre bathroom sink (upstairs) for washing up, and the bath to house the sink drainer. It's so uncomfortable you could call it "indoor camping".

Good to know you're washing. No one likes a smelly Kat.

ah, I get that when we put on the washing machine, we have get the water from the taps in the kitchen sink, so for a few hours we need to go to the bathroom for the water, but it's not exactly a long walk, the luxuries of living in a small flat.

we had our electricity out for a bit too, at first the computer just stopped and I thought shit its finally dead and that sucked, then I realized it was the electricity which also sucked but not as bad as if the computer was finally gone, and then I realized it wasn't us and our non payment of bill but it was the whole building. It was only off for about an hour so it was relatively painless, though this is the time when everything was going to hell and it was not pleasing when it happened.

I feel like I muddled up some tenses there, oh well you manage to read my blog posts I'm sure you can make sense of this.
