So much has changed since I started writing this blog. Not sure I remember exactly when that was but so much stuff since whenever that was! I mean I live somewhere different, I mean not a different country or a different city or a different part of the city really, but um, flat's a different one. Different relationship, been through a few, different job well I have a job which I don't think I did then or much of the time in between.
That's about it really. Ok so not much has changed. I'm still looking forward to that future time when I'm without the drudgerous worries of ordinary life and I'm actually doing something really cool where I, ok where I have money ok lots of money, relatively. When I actually go places and meet people and achieve things. Still have those to look forward to, all of those.
And things here seem to be the same. Exactly the same. Oh yeah there are some differences but really, exactly the same. People keep being people, dogs bark and trams get in your way. Most of all people can't stop fucking around with their flats! Everywhere I go every place I live, every year every month, all days of the week and times of the day (ok not the middle of the night but 7am areyou kidding me!!!) they're hammering and drilling and sanding and planning but mostly hammering and drilling and yelling in the hall but generally hammering, sometimes softly but just enough for you to notice and often heavily and drilling. Did I mention the drilling. At 7am. Drilling!!!
I need sleep.

*turns brain on*
I need to get some sort of, I don't know, recorder thingy, but not a recorder, some kind of thought reminder whatsit, to put beside my bed at night. That or something implanted straight into my brain. Is there something like that? Where can I get it, and is it expensive?
I'm asking because I keep getting, well once or twice I have gotten, really really good ideas, well thought out in magnificent prose, in the middle of the night. Having paper and pen beside the bed just doesn't work, one because I'm not the only one here, that kitty will start whining and knocking things off the table and bugging me to get up to feed her the second I show signs of life, oh and there's Erik, who has to work. Also because I'm lazy, particularly when I'm like, half asleep and warm and snug in bed. A tape recorder or anything with noise doesn't work for the same reasons. I need something that needs neither light, noise or movement. Otherwise it's all lost. All of those.. whatever it was I thought of that I can never recreate quite the same way in the morning, or at all by the time I can be bothered to try to type it out.
Well if you can think of something, because well.. the stuff that's lost it's.. I mean I remember it as being particularly clever.. funny that all the really good material is stuff I think of when I'm in a half asleep daze that I can't remember in it's best form when I'm completely lucid, that is some coincidence. You know.

It's a battlefield.
I'm sure someone somewhere at some time has said something along the lines of "the greatest battles are with the ones you love", or "there is nothing so fierce as those wars we wage in the home" or "you always piss off the ones you live with" or anything that means that sometimes, the people (and/or four legged furry creatures) who are closest to you and who live with you can really make your life difficult, more so than even the like.. really big things. That's what it's like here. I may have been banging on a lot recently about how I'm all alone and lonely and oh so lonesome etc.. and I still am, with the exception of a particular four legged furry creature. It is said four legged furry creature I wish to speak of now. Cooley, the cat. She is a master a psychological warfare, mind games and general super brattiness. You see.. she, like most sentient beings, likes to eat. It is necessary with our living arrangements for the humans to feed her, and well, we try to feed her at regular times, and the right sort of food and not too much. She doesn't always agree with our methods, especially the not too much part.. but also the.. feeding time not being earlier than we wish to get out of bed. Or the middle of the night. She likes to use her particular set of skills to get us to do what she wants.. She scratches things, rips up paper, knocks things off tables or just stares. If all that fails then there's the endless meowing. Needless to say, this can get vexing. It's gotten worse the last few weeks I've been on my own here, I don't know why but every night, again and again and again, she scratches, stares, meows, knocks, stares, meows, rips, taps... once to get me up to feed her, then again to get me to give her more, and then again.. and often again. Just before bed and then again or twice during the short night before I get up because I just can't sleep. Oh yeah.. I'm not getting enough sleep. I try to stand up to her, not to feed her too much, hoping that eventually she'll just settle down and go to sleep, but she doesn't. She just stares. Or scratches, or knocks, or meows or.. you get the picture. I haven't been getting much sleep lately.

In hibernation.
I tried to sleep late this morning, but a certain furry little creature wouldn't let me. I have trouble sleeping in anyway. I managed to get more than 6 hours but I'm pretty tired and have been all day.
I'm guessing the next few weeks are going to be rather lazy relative to last month, which isn't actually anything to sneeze at because.. well.. most people's lives who don't work in mines or whatever are lazy compared to that, but, although I have tons of shit to do, I'm reckoning I won't.. forget that.. got lots to do and I'm gonna do it!
Hoping that will motivate me..

We're almost there.
I had quite a fun day today. We did fun things, fun things happened, things that are fun to watch were watched, and photographed. I liked quite a lot of bits of today. I think I even liked today. There were vexing parts, and one part that particularly bothered me which turned out to be not as bad as I thought but might turn out to be something lastingly bad, but whatev.. mostly today was, fun, I'd say. This is entirely due to the aforementioned fun things that occurred that were fun to watch that were watched and all that. Not due to like, getting enough sleep, or feeling physically well or feeling like my life is going somewhere and meaningful and.. nevermind the last bit, basically, I should be in a way shittier mood, but possibly a combo of sleep deprivation, said fun things and general weirdness worked for me today.
Maybe it's knowing I have a late call tomorrow, and I can sleep in that's doing most of the "making one feel considerably better than one has been feeling in general of late". In fact, it might be the entire reason.

Blu-di-hell!
Fuck!
Ok, so this time yesterday I was tired, having finished shooting at 4am though we were supposed to go until midnight, not that it made any difference because a certain furry feline wouldn't let me sleep, and I had to get up to be there to shoot again at 1pm.
That turned to 2pm, then he was late so we got in at about 2:30, then he fiddled around setting up. The makeup woman came and had to wait around, I waited around... finally started shooting at I don't know what time, but I'll guess 4:00. We did the "bathroom" scene, which was a little nervy for me, but not as much as I thought it would be.. then I had to wait around again, dripping wet and in a towel... got the makeup done so our m-a artist could get on her way...
waited for him to set up... then more crew members showed up.
..........
12 hours later I'm still in the flat and we've 2 scenes left to shoot, that was before he remembered the other scene, the final eye opening scene that tells us what the story was all about.. so we have 3 left to do. Of course that means something like 14 shots..
and the camera battery dies.
Director goes to get food and stuff and we wait around. I feel like sleeping. He comes back.. they set up and we rehearse a bit... now.. I'm bad enough at this acting while rehearsing (much like my acting while the camera's going) but when I'm as ready to sleep as I was at this time, it's not what I want to do most in the world.
We finally got another scene going. I walked back and forth through the hallway a few times. It took me a while to know what the fuck scene he was talking about before we even got started, but that happens at what was probably 4am.
And it died again. So we waited. Rehearse the phone scene and went back in the kitchen to set up. Day was coming in slowly through the windows, so of course they took particularly long to set up.
We shot. Didn't shoot as many takes as on average, but more because we had limited battery power, than because it was so late and we were tired, though the late and tired did play into it some. The take being actually any good didn't have much to do with the decision. We had to take the scene from 3 different angles (3,4, 6?) of course, so that took time. The last scene was simple and fast, just one take, so we took 3. And we were done. The good thing about it was I could walk home in daylight. It was 5:50 when I left.
And that was it! Now we only have to reshoot a scene that was crap or too dark or whatever at the other flat, so I have to be there at 3pm. I don't even want to be out of bed yet! And I have all of this other stuff to do, which I stupidly thought, I'd have time to do today. Today's shoot was originally supposed to be at 5, so considering (as I thought) I'd be done by midnight yesterday, (a conservative estimate, seeing as the original start was at 1) that I'd get plenty of sleep, and be up early not feeling like total shit, but no.
Today's shoot is supposed to take an hour, after makeup that is, so I'm expecting to be home by daylight tonight. I just want to go to sleep.

Just stopping by..
I'm tired. We shot more scenes for the movie yesterday. I got there 16:30 and the goal was to finish at midnight. I got there on time, the other actor was about half an hour late, and the crew were fiddling around with lights. At about 9:30 we started doing something, we began rehearsing the scenes we were shooting at just before midnight and I left at about 4am.
We're shooting again today, starting 1pm because, we finished at midnight you see, and that's plenty of time to get some sleep :Z
If I'd actually come home a bit after 4, slept pretty much until just now I'd be fine, but someone decided to be hyper and jump on the bed and meow at me at regular intervals throughout the night/morning.
I'm so fucking tired. I'll probably be shooting until about midnight again (meaning well after that of course) and I don't know if I'm up for it. I have a semi nude scene today, and hopefully being out of it will make it easier, if anything. Still not quite sure how that will be. I just want to go back to sleep.

A real post.
Actually I think it's more of a sorta real post. I'm mostly just writing to tell you that I have a proper post in my head ready to go when I'm in the right frame of mind, but not being in that frame of mind right now, you're getting this instead. Of course, it may never happen so the advice is "don't hold your breath".
Here I go again acting like anyone cares.
I wrote it all in my head last night the hour before falling asleep, you know, the way I used to always do. That is, you know if you're one of the old timers who's been following this blog since it's birth, which as last estimation I put the count at zero, so forget I said any of that.
So in short, this is pretty much about nothing. The usual post then.

Things you learn when your man who you met online leaves his job, uproots himself and moves to Prague to be with you..
Cats are like alarm clocks with no off button, just snooze. And they can't set the time yourself it's done automatically, and they don't just stay where you put them, they run across the headboard and meow in your face while you're trying to sleep. But they're very cute all the same. Oh I forgot to mention he brought his cat.

Bring it on, already.
I need sleep. I just couldn't sleep last night and got woken up about yet another fixit related affair. This time I had to get up and run to another flat, that I don't live in to let them in, because the dude who lives in it wouldn't answer the phone. I didn't have time to wash my hair so it's greasy.
I'm going to be busy in December. I got a job photographing Santa Claus, who will be coming to town this year, for the first time, at least that is, for the whole of the month. So I'll be standing there in a Santa hat trying to get kids to stop screaming while their photos are taken. Should be a laugh, I'm doing it every day from the 1st until the 23rd except for the days I have off, for various reasons. Should be a laugh.
I'm gonna be in a film again. Actually I was going to be in 2, but the first film student who called me about a film changed the film she was going to be doing later on. Oh well. I was actually wanted for 3, but the 3rd person who called me was filming on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd, which clashed with the first film I was called for, the one I'm not doing now, and with the job I'm doing, which all the films actually clash with, but I got the ok to get the days off for the first two, but figured it was pushing it for the 3rd one, especially seeing as it was for the first few days of Santa's inaugural Prague appearance. So I'm just in one. It's ok, I shan't be greedy this time. I don't know what the film is about though because the guy hasn't emailed me the script yet.
The next few days of November I have training for my photography job, the usual classes, a script to read (if I ever get it), and a birthday to get through, so I suppose I should get that sleep soon. Getting busy soon.
