Same scene, different seconds. The second one is technically a bad photo but I quite like the effect.

A bit of camera shake or a slower shutter speed can work wonders.

At night it's easy. Difficult to get a nice clear picture but you can have a lot of fun with crazy effects with light. If you can get hold of a proper camera and tripod and have the patience to set it all up and wait you can get amazing shots of clear background and moving lights whizzing past, for example.. *feels a bit wistful for a time before I had all my stuff stolen that I could actually do that, also that I could be bothered to go out and do that*.
