Havin a whale...

of a time. here in Eilat.

Off on a midnight train..

Yep, I totally am. I am "literally" going on a midnight train tonight, to sunny Eilat. I mean, it's actually due to take off at 5 minutes to midnight and it's not a train it's a plane and it's not going to Eilat it's going to Tel Aviv from where we, at 3am or so will make our way to Jerusalem to refresh ourselves and rest and wait for the ride to Eilat. Which is sunny, and by the sea. Oh it's cold here, did I mention, and snowing, hasn't stopped actually, it's kind of weird in a way, and it's getting colder and should be like.. super cold tomorrow. *smirks* It's like.. mid to high 20s in Eilat. And it's by the sea. *tries not to look smug and fails* So.. for now we've got all the "traveling" part of the traveling to do.. and well.. it's a whole lot of schleppng and waiting and passport control and being in airports and cities in the middle of the night so I'm looking forward to that part being done and being in Eilat, which is warm, oh and it's by the sea, did I mention? Yeah, I'd kind of like it to be that bit. By this time tomorrow, it will be that bit, so I hope for it to be then. Catch ya later.

I could use a holiday..

Really. I mean.. although I have been actually working sorta recently it's still not all that much and hasn't been for all that long.. and it's just over a month since I got back from my trip to Israel but..

I'd like to take off somewhere again. I mean, there are people who go places not long after they've been places.. I've always been more of one who never really goes places* but that just means I have a lot to catch up on..

it's summer, there's the sea... and I could go somewhere like, Croatia, or Italy again, or to Spain, or somewhere else in Europe I haven't been.. or Italy again. Somewhere by the sea. Italy maybe.

I wouldn't mind going to Italy again. I would also like to go somewhere there's a beach.. one by the sea.

Just pondrin and stuff.

And we're back..

Home again after a trip to Italy which I like to refer to as "il shlep grande". Ok so there've been more grande shleps for many people over the years, but at the time..

The short version of the itinerary goes Rome - Cagliari, Sardinia - Radicondoli, Tuscany - Rome.. and back to Prague. The longer version is more like Roma Fiumicimo - Roma Termini - Civitavecchia - Cagliari - Civitavecchia - Grosseto - Siena - Radicondoli - Volterra - Radicondoli - Siena - Roma.. and back to Prague. That's not including every single metro trip or bus.. though I could add those if we want a longer one. Oh and the bits between Civitavecchia (the port of Rome) and Cagliari were on the sea. Ferry trip. 14 hours on a "sleeper" ie a chair.
