March seems to be..

my lazy month. With regards to blogging anyway. I've been unusually slack this month, and I'm afraid not having anything to write about is no excuse as that, as anyone (assuming there's someone still out there, which on second thoughts I seriously doubt) who has been following this blog recently will know.

I was about to write "will no" there, in the previous paragragh. Fancy that.

It's a nice day today. This spring thing seems to be working out for me.

And once again...

We have here a photo based post.

Today is the first day of spring, here in the Northern Hemisphere.. in the parts which begin spring around the equinox, according to some sites anyway..

Well it might be. It's warmed up considerably here so I'm happy to say it's spring, though it's not as sunny as I'd like. And in other weather news... :) Ok enough of that. Here's a pic from last year to celebrate this occasion.

Blooming

And happy autumn for those in the southern hem that enjoy the changing seasons.

I crush your...

It's Thursday, and it's high time I posted something and that means stick up a photo. One may a) actually glance at the blog and notice something's been uploaded and then perhaps b) leave a funny, witty line that could in some way be interpreted as fitting the photo. It's entirely up to one.

Some statue in some square..

Well...

got a new comp. And an adaptor. And got the mouse that isn't crap working on it.

Not a bad day's work.

Cute Kitty Post.

A photo for Thursday. One may caption this if one wants, but I just feel like putting a photo up. I've been posting (to Flickr) nothing but 365 self portraits lately.. and this is one of them, though it may not look like it. See those fingers nuzzling Cooley? Well that's me :)

Cooley..

*stops stomping around just for a second*

I'm online!

*dances a jig*

It's a temporary one.. comp that is, that is one that's usable and get onlineable, but it gives us something to use in the mean time. So it's good.

The most annoying thing about having to be online in a public place..

like an internet cafe.. apart from not being able to get online whenever one wants with ease, numerous times a day, and having to pay, using an unfamiliar computer and not knowing what you're going to get (seriously some of these computers are shit) and the people smoking in them, having limitations on what sites you can get into (not so many but there a couple of things I need to know that I can't find out) not having your own customized stuff in front of you, people chatting on skype or just on the phone with each other, people who have headphones on through which you can hear the music in a tinny high pitched tone and people sending long messages on their phone (twice) without changing the settings to get rid of the beer sound is...

actually, I think apart from that it's just fine.

Oh and sometimes not being able to get your language on the comp. That too.

Some stuff.. and stuff.

It's funny how your interpretation of things changes so quickly. I spent most of this unusually cold winter being all happy if the temperature was only a few degree below 0, which I thought was positively balmy.. In late Feb it warmed up, first to around 0, then for about a week we had mostly positive degrees, going up to 8 or so, and all the snow melted. Well now it's gotten all cold again, and is going to be for the next couple of days.. with degrees about 0 to 4 during the day and I'm shocked at how damn freezing it is!

Yes, the weather is still the most exciting thing happening around here. The comp that died is still dead. There is no new comp. There is a comp but I have been unable to get it to do the most basic of tasks. It's operating on Linux, with which I am (still after all ths time) unfamiliar. We've realized it doesn't have enough RAM to bother with much right now, and being not particularly techie people we're all proud of ourselves for knowing what this RAM thing actually is and use the opportunity to mention it a lot so we sound clever and stuff. To ourselves anyway. Seriously, I never thought about it before, it was just something that's inside the computer all invisible that does something important but not sure really what. This probably explains why I've been unable to do something as simple as get a computer installed with anything useful but I still retain the dream that I might be able to do something with it one day.
